CASE STUDY

The client was National Premier Leagues, an umbrella organisation who oversee Australian league football directly below the elite A-League tier. Their technicians make use of LIGR Systems' state-of-the-art automated broadcast graphics SAAS for live streams - and as a major client, they had a bespoke theme designed by the team at LIGR for their own use.

With the big restart after the pandemic lockdown period, NPL wanted a fresh look for the upcoming season and asked the team at LIGR to redesign their theme. Maintaining the same data outputs but finding a fresher and more relevant graphic representation was the main objective.

SOLUTION

The previous design was a great solution for both LIGR Systems and the NPL, given that LIGR were breaking new ground in providing variety through an automated 'plug-and-play' solution for smaller sports organisations who can enjoy the relatively-lower costs but still offer professional-quality graphics to their audience.

Given that the NPL already has an established look on their website and social media graphics, the new theme would incorporate certain elements from the existing brand guidelines, including common shapes and the two brand blue colours.

Another small but significant evolution for the NPL theme is the subtle addition of team colour identifiers on the scorebug, which allows fans to identify and engage with their favourite teams in a new way.
